What’s the story?

What started as a personal project is rapidly becoming a product and internet sensation!

Designed by Chris Elsworthy, this one-of-a-kind timber framed electric cruiser is perfect for your everyday commuting needs! The journey started several years ago with an electric recumbent bike for getting to work, but the fear set in and Chris decided he needed more of a cruiser and one with style… Based on design cues from vintage motorcycles and choppers, the LignumVolt combines classic looks with modern materials and a 48V electric motor for effortless cruising in all weathers.

It rides as well as it looks with little or no effort – the 48v Li-ion battery and mid-drive motor system smoothly accelerate you up to speed.
